Oracle BIApps 11.1.1.8.1

Oracle released new version of BI Apps after the release of BI Apps 11.1.1.7.1 with ODI 

Oracle BI Apps 11.1.1.8.1 is available for download now the release notes mentioned below critical patches requires installing 11.1.1.8.1


■ Oracle BI Applications RCU
The Oracle BI Applications RCU (also referred to as the Business Analytics Applications RCU) .zip file for this release is provided as Patch 18185465. Download this patch from My Oracle Support > Patches & Updates.

■ ODI Patch
ODI Patch 18204886 is required. This patch is delivered in Patch 18438401: P4FA SYSTEM PATCH 11.1.8.0.140311. Download this patch from My Oracle Support > Patches & Updates.


New Modules/Adapters:


This release includes prebuilt connectors between Oracle Procurement and Spend Analytics and Oracle’s JD Edwards. Additionally, a new Oracle Human Resources Analytics module for developing and maintaining a skilled workforce has been introduced.

Oracle Human Resources Analytics expands analysis on HR programs and workforce performance with the introduction of Talent Management Analysis, to help HR and business managers assess talent strengths and build potential leaders by delivering greater insight into job profiles. Improvements to Absence Management, new support for Workforce Frozen Snapshots and Workforce Flex Fields are also available.

  3. Dear Varanasi, I have OBIEE 11.1.1.7 with BI Apps 11.1.1.8.1 and ODI all 11.1.1.8, i want to know if there is known issue, that we need to apply the same patch?

  4. Hi Sai Chand,
    I have dim of all docs and one fact of docs reviews..have to calculate % of docs reviewed.I can get the count of reviewed docs from the fact but how can I get total count of doc? Please suggest. I can see that is there in Dim but how to take that into fact logical column expression dont know.

    Also, there are two counts when I divide, OBIEE applies floor so dont get correct answer. Tried cast as double but of no use.
