Step1: Take a backup of C:\OracleBI\web\msgdb\messages\commonuitemplates.xml file
Step2: Search for “advReportingURL” and comment out the whole message
Step3: Restart the presentation services. Now you will not get BI Publisher from More Products drop down
I'm sorry, but this is pretty stupid. When you don't want to make use of BI Publisher and you want to remove the link from the drop down menu, you can just set the "Access to Oracle BI Publisher Enterprise"-privilege to "Deny" for Everyone. Same result, but much easier..

hi Stijin,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments, but if a user still want to access the xmlpserver then he can able to change url and enter ....If you make Access to bipublisher -Privlege to Deny then he will not access any report...but disabling from drop-down case he can able to access the url not directly from more products-->Bi Publisher....One thing this was a requirement in my project :-)
A ha.. this puts things in a different perspective. It's always interesting to read why people are doing things. :)
ReplyDeletehmmm....Thanks for following my blog.If i did any mistake please point out me
